Questions about cost
What does Stedy cost?
Nothing. Every part of Stedy is free for every member of your household. There is no paid plan and nothing is held back.
What's the catch?
There isn't one in the small print. Stedy shows no ads and does not sell your data. It is a small product built by one person in Sweden, and right now the goal is to make it good, not to profit from it.
Will it stay free?
I can't promise that. Hosting, email and the database all have real running costs, and I won't pretend otherwise. If Stedy ever starts charging, you will read it here and get an email first, and you can always export everything you have made.
Does everyone in my household need an account?
Yes, each person signs in with their own Google account and joins your household through an invite link. After that you share the same week plan, lists, budget and chores.
Do I need a credit card?
No. A Google account is all you need to sign in.
Where is my data stored?
In the EU. The API and the database run in the EU, and product analytics use PostHog's EU cloud. The Security page lists every service that handles your data.
